It is my pleasure to present this photo gallery of erosion related images
contributed by myself and colleagues around the world. Thank you
all.
The purpose of this photo sharing
gallery is to provide a place for sharing practical techniques, unique
erosion equipment and the beauty of field work. New researchers
may find the pictures a great help by reassuring their direction through
the experience of others. More experienced researchers will most
certainly enjoy sharing their experience.
Please email any
erosion images you would like to share to
Sensit, everyone will
appreciate your efforts.

Special:
A tribute to Dale Gillette
Written by: Be´atrice Marticorena at request.
This paper was
submitted to JGR but was not granted publication because it is not a true
research publication.
Nonetheless,
Dr. Dale Gillette’s long and productive career has been a cornerstone for
aerosol / aeolian geomorphology research and richly deserves this tribute
to be presented for all to see.
Dr. Gillette's
countless contributions to erosion research covering field, laboratory and
theoretical aspects of wind eroding mass and subsequent effects on the
environment have not only been building blocks for others to follow, but
cutting edge new precedents throughout the erosion field of study. It has
been my greatest pleasure to work as a team with Dr. Gillette in the field
and laboratory for 35 years. Dr. Gillette has been, without question the
wind beneath my wings throughout my career. Erosion sensor development
would not have succeeded without his never faltering support, advice and
encouragement in a most kind and respectful manner.
